The Tao of Fertility….

So, I just checked out who The American Fertility Association has chosen for their “Illuminations Awards”. I remember when Lisa Rosenthal, the then Associate Executive Director and I came up with that name for the fund raiser. We wanted the event to be about honoring people who shed light or bring light to the field of fertility. I cannot think of a better example of that than Dr. Daoshing Ni. I actually only met Dr. Ni once at a dinner in LA. At that time he was just publishing his book – The Tao of Fertility: A Healing Chinese Medicine Program to Prepare Body, Mind and Spirit for New Life.  Dr. Ni is the kind of man whose very aura brings light.

Dr. Daoshing Ni, a descendant of more than 70 generations of Taoist masters, and is well known amongst infertility specialists. What I love about Dr. Ni is his belief that a woman’s body, mind, and soul must be prepared not only conception but pregnancy and birth.

The Tao of Fertility offers insights and Taoist principles that a woman can carry with her while on her quest for motherhood. I think that Dr. Ni words can empower women to find harmony within themselves, and even possibly support them in creating new life.
